MARANATHA! COME LORD JESUS

Maranatha!
I see your image in every flower, in the beauty of the sky.
Your astonishing voice sounds from the chanting of the birds, from the sea, from the wind
All your beauty radiates in the works of your hands.
The green vegetation unveils your everlasting presence.

Maranatha!
I see your blood upon the roses and in the stars the glory of your eyes
Your body glimpse amidst eternal snow
Your tears fall from the sky like rain.

Maranatha!
In every bread broken on the altar fills us with your love
In us, you share with your sufferings and joys
In the Eucharist, you manifest the purity of your majesty
You fill our thirst in love.

Maranatha!
Your friendship is like a garden
In this relationship, faith is fundamental
When we plant the seeds and irrigate the plants
In faith, the plants grow and produce food.
It is an act of kindness of you, our Creator.

Maranatha!
I find you in every human family
where everybody needs to be in contact with one another
As we sit in their company and share our stories
We appreciate one another as one family
We partake in the Holy family of Nazareth.

Maranatha!
I feel your presence in every life situation:
In comforting the sick, listening to the voice of the blind calling for help, visiting a man on death row.
The immigrants seek for a hand that will save them
Sometimes, we seem indifferent and unmoved by their sufferings.
The voice of the Lord is calling us today to show love.

Maranatha!
I long to see you, Lord, in my daily life
I pray that my soul you keep with you
Protect our nation, our leaders and bless every home
Destroy the sting of death when life and light are gone
Open thine arms of mercy and take us home.
