A fertile ground

Lk 4:35 Jesus rebuked him and said, "Be quiet! Come out of him!"

Every farmer will prefer to farm on fertile ground to ensure an abundant harvest. Similarly, our soul can serve as a fertile ground if we allow the message of life, hope and salvation be planted in it. If we allow our faith to govern our thoughts, there will be the hope of a rich harvest in the end. Our daily effort is blessed by the teaching and healing. We need only a simple faith to connect us with God. Such connections require prayer, good work, love and perseverance.
God knows everything about us. We must acknowledge His invitation with a generous heart. Sometimes, we are tempted to deviate from the message of life because of fear, worry, indifference, pride and ego. We lose focus when we allow opinions expressed by others to influence us. When we allow God to speak to our heart every unclean spirit disappear. He is the power that governs the universe. In Him is the power that will set us free from every bondage of sin and oppression. His power brings healing of the body, mind and spirit. If the demon was able to recognise the voice of Jesus, how much more should we recognize His presence and believe in the message of life? Though there are evil forces and spirits in the world, we must be ready at all times to call upon the name of Jesus - the only name that makes every unclean spirit to submit their power.

Prayer: Lord, grant me the zeal to serve you with devotion each day of my life.
