In a world without God

How did we get in this place of confusion?
What has gone wrong?
Something strange has invaded us
Our world is in trouble.

As we continue to scratch our heads and ask the same question: where is God?
We are consumed by the insanity and the perpetual need to succeed,
the pressure to always be the best and the first
the ambition to exceed expectations.

We live in a time when vanity has overtaken us
Each is pulled along by the tide of innovation
Our world has lifted a burden of vanity
How do we wrestle back a sense of control?

Out of our ignorance and stupidity
We took God out of our government
We wanted to detach ourselves from the Creator of the universe
Today, our governments are uncomfortable about the crisis.

We longed for freedom and independence
in our clubs, activities, restaurants and arenas
We excluded God out of our social life
Today everywhere has been shut down.

Instead of putting our trust in God
We took Him out of our places of work
We relied on our governments but they failed
Now, all of these have failed us.

We feel guilt as our lives seem to lack achievable goals
We consider our careers as important calling in life
We search and yearn to hear solutions
Yet, we have refused to address our problems.

God is supposed to be at the centre of our life
But some places of worship depend on other gods for miracles and healing
We feel unsatisfied with the visions of hope
What has happened to our faith in God?

We have a choice to make:
to reconnect with God in our lives
Let us allow Him to fix our problems
With Him, everything will fall into place.

Let us invite God into our world
Let us place our trust under His care
Let us make the world a better place
He is waiting for us in our hearts, in our lives and our soul.
