GET READY FOR CHRISTMAS

Here is a joyous invitation:
The Lord is about to visit his people
His power and presence is for real
In Him is the perfect love of God,
an awesome God whose kingdom is endless.

Just like we recognise a tree by its fruits
so will the dawn restore light from the dark.
Amazing has been God’s work from the dawn of time
His message of hope and redemption is our guide.

God is wisdom; He changes not.
His action restores peace to our live
He brings his works to fulfilment through us
He allows success comes our way.

In our journey, God walks with us
In Him the humble of heart finds joy
He is equipped with wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and fear of the Lord
In situations where there is distress, persecution and injustice
He brings mercy and justice.

As we wait and prepare for Advent
We must turn our eyes to the cross and watch the glorious light of the risen Lord transform our lives.
We must trust in the past, celebrate the present and look to the future with confidence.

Peace is the path we travel in this life
Hope is our guide as we move from darkness into light
God’s mercy will drive the gloom of death
If we remain steadfast in the way of the Lord.

Prisca Onyinye Nwokorie is a  Roman Catholic Nun. She belongs to the religious order of “Oblates of St. Benedict Joseph Labre” in Italy. She is a graduate of the University of Bari where she obtained her Bachelor’s and Masters’ degrees in “Information and Communication Technologies for the Production of Software” and “Computer Science” respectively. Currently, she is carrying out research work on “E-learning for Developing Countries”.
