How the world has changed

Evil made an entry into the world; the results are evident within the lives of men and nature
For centuries, uprightness suffers humiliation
No one has been courageous to correct the wrongs
Yet, our hope, desire and trust are in God.

In a social world like ours, we need each other
Yet each is uncomfortable to admit the other's presence
Wealth, power and pride built itself a special mansion
to contain the rich, the affluent, the prosperous and therefore the wealthy.

The poor, the oppressed are left at the mercy of fate
All their prayers, hope and aspirations are in God
To the weak, misery and death welcomes them daily
To these dejected of the society, there's no remedy for their worries.

I walked to and from our living room sobbing,
wanting so seriously to speak away my anguish
it was impossible to form eye contact with those around me
I guess they too were lost in wandering thoughts.

There was much time to precise my opinion
I could speak louder in my language
Without an audience, I felt like crying aloud
But my inner sentiments were taking turns trying to urge my attention.

I took my focus faraway from the people before me
I wished everyone could learn from the present crisis
Those who do more for the society are often not celebrated
Many weren't valued for the contribution they create in society.

The world has changed so drastically
Many people are being attacked by disease
People can not mourn because they do not know who died
A graveyard peace has suddenly returned to our busy world.

God needs our involvement so that we can be saved
He wants us to steer side by side with Him
All the great things of life should help shape us for eternity
Our experience will help us tell a true story about God and nature.

Even as the planet has changed, God remains nearer to us than ever
He made a promise to be with us forever
He used the rainbow as a signature to seal His promise to mankind
His writing is unique. His promises are authentic.

Even as the world is changing
Never change your memory about God and his unfailing love
Some changes have widened our knowledge for good
Some changes have affected our ways of reasoning
Let us entrust into God's hands the ribbon of our life.

Our time on earth is defined and fixed
We have been granted a day at a time to accomplish our goal
That day could also be long or short; let us use it well
God is our help when the daylight is gone.
