A nation in distress

Wake up! We are short of time
It is strange how life has moved to another level of changed
At a time like this, we are worst than refugees
It is an unspeakable truth and reality.

Our nation is in distress and anguish
Shame, sorrow, suffering, trial, unhappiness, anger, wretchedness,
disappointment, embarrassment, grief, heartbreak, dejection, misery and concern
All of these characterize our state of mind and sentiments.

The beauty of our nation has faded
It is similar to broken glass, impossible to amend
Our nation is flooded with all kinds of compromise
Her moral conduct has fallen beyond imagination.

It's a shame to see our youths turning into beggars
in a society where people are ready to work
I am angry with our system of service and operation
We must dismantle the masks of injustice.

We have to gather. Protest match is looming
Even the powers that be are joining us to complain of what is imminent
Like it or not, the youths are tired
Like it or not, our parents are tired.

After spending the hard-earned money in training their children, yet, no job
They are only good as rogues for the powers that be
A protest is looming. We have to match the streets sooner than later
We will meet them there to find out what happened to our money.

They are busy collecting loans that we will repay when they are dead because they lack wisdom
They don't consider the kind of sickness that will befall them
They use this money to pay for drugs
the money that would have been used to provide me with food, job and better our life.

No! We are prepared sooner than later
to take our destiny in our hands,
to remove them from the government
At a time like this, our nation is in distress.
