Encounter God as a missionary

God is around us;
He is eternally present;
He can be found in human hearts,
in the form of love, compassion and sacrifice.

God is found amidst our families and friends;
His face reflects on every human life.
Invisible though God’s presence may appear,
They serve as instruments to do His work.

God is in the Eucharist and the Sacraments,
in the meditation on the Scripture;
In silence, He speaks to our hearts
His abiding presence, mercy and love on us abide.

God is in our relationship with people;
He commanded us to love Him above all things,
to love one another as self;
Through Him, with Him and in Him we may be one.

God is in our embark on the journey of faith,
stepping out of our comfort zones,
to inherit our heritage prepared for us in the promised land
like the Israelites of old.

As missionaries, we see God in real-life experience
among the hungry, the prisoners, the poor,
the dejected, the sick, the miserable,
in those at the point of death.

Daily, God invites us to come home,
like in the return of the prodigal son,
the conversation of St Paul and Mary Magdalene,
to inherit eternal life.

As soldiers of Christ by baptism and confirmation,
we must work, watch and pray.
We need to be ready at all time to obey His command
even when our eyes are at rest.
