Such is Life

When it becomes true I must accept
I bow to the reality I wouldn’t contend
Life is here but can get lost
Deeper than we grasp and tend

Shall I always think this way
When shall the moment come
That the soul comes back that stray
To take back the beauty of the home

The light shines but goes off soon
Such as the turn of Christopher
Cheering, smooth and fair as the moon
Retained just a moment like an eclipse

Oh how life plays the game
Plan your way but it plans against
Drags you off like the lame
Makes you resign and not insist

They all gathered I thought awhile
It will be anytime for anyone
Tomorrow and tomorrow we face the tile
That confronts in the long run

If that is the case why waste time
Today we have time to mend
For tomorrow’s beats and rhyme
On him to rely and depend
