The battle with worry

Free yourself from the slavery of worry
Nothing justifies your anxiety
Rest mildly in God’s presence and peace
He will handle your troubled soul.

A heart flooded with worries is never at peace
Worry manifests itself in lack of trust,
the anxiety of errors, of others, of injury
concern over illness, death and work.

The battle with worry may lead to fear
Such fear may draw you away from God
In that hint of coming misfortune
It may step on the edges of despair.

Worry is a daily battle for every mortal
Stand firm. God will not disappoint you
Allow your troubled heart yield to hope
Hope will restore your peace.

When struggling with worry, do not fear
Be strong in faith, hope and love:
Have faith in God’s words. Hope to accept the reality
God’s love drives out every fear.

God does not wish you to live in worry
Believe in His perpetual protection
Renew your confidence in God’s care
Overcome your worry with prayer.
