Now that the world is at rest

Now that the world is at rest, everything is on a standstill
Each phase of life is affected and disturbed
Maybe the world has never undergone a time like this
The world has always been in constant expansion and innovation.

God's hands are in our condition and state
He wants to speak to us by all means
Though many say we suffer an economic problem,
a problem that has affected every mankind.

I believe God's power is above all power
Just as earthly comfort lingers but for a while
Some say it is a sign of end time
Let us run with perseverance the heavenly race.

A strange feeling came over me
as I turned my face towards the sky
I watched the sun sinking a little lower to pave way for the moon
I guess it needed some moment of rest.

The wind was blowing differently as if it has a message to convey
The water was moving as if mixed from within by a beast
Such dangerous movement causes flooding along the coast,
making life intolerable for all.

Our world has been moved off its foundation
It is in danger of spiritual and moral disintegration
Humanity has drifted away from God
Everything in the world has lost its original beauty and uniqueness.

We have been on earth for many years, months, weeks, days and hours
Yet, we pretend to know nothing of what has gone wrong before us
Our planet has been tampered by the intelligent
Their knowledge of God is questionable.

Yes, we were not consulted about our existence
We know nothing of what is to happen to us in the next second
God's presence has always been made manifest in our lives
His love for us is infinite and eternal.

The world needs some rest but God is our end
Our lust and greed seems to  have deepened our ignorance about God
Someday, the sun, the moon, the sea, the earth, the stars will pass away
Only God's love shall awake our hearts in the morning of eternal glory.
