Blessed Michael Iwene Tansi

Feast day - January 20

I want to be like him
He was a man of God
He lived a saintly life
His name is Michael Iwene Tansi.

He was enriched with intelligence
He was kind and outstandingly good
He did not strive for personal esteem
He chose a quiet and monastic life.

Called to live a holy life
He chose not possessions or wealth
He chose the sick, the poor and needy
to educate them in the way of the Lord.

He found happiness in serving God and man
He was consistent in his vocation as a priest
He planted virtues in the heart of people
He was a model of every priest.

He was content with little things
He knew the truth; he lived by the truth
He chose poverty and self-denial
He did everything to his best capacity.

He had a simple, friendly and pleasant character
He was a loving and a generous giver
He was close to the people around him
He helped everyone in need of his service.

He was not just a priest
He was a father to many
He did unbelievable things in his days
He was a silent revolutionary.

Touched by his devotion to God and humanity
I want to live a life of prayer and service
The world is nothing, only God.
There is joy in serving God and neighbour.
