There lies the troubled conscience of the king
Who betrayed the hope of his Kingsmen
A promise of innovation and for better
But his words were empty and false
Humble and gentle were his look
‘A good and upright man’, he was tagged
While his friends sing songs of praise
The poor and the innocents die daily in silence
He vowed to punish the selected few
To erase and subdue them at will
Let him who seems courageous speak
His life and properties await his justice
Silence has become the sound of music
What a world of injustice
A land where justice is a taboo
Evil reigns as in the land of the helpless
Daily, the blood of the innocent cries to God
O God, rescue us from deadly men
Else, too late is our hope
And there will be no more salvation for us
My people are in pains
All in tears caused by despair
Why do so many appear to ignore
Are they simply suffering and smiling
Maybe the voice of he who grief is not loud enough
But one thing is certain, I must say
The conscience of the king is stained
In him rests no hope for his people
What a miserable life l experience
The world offers only a craving for pleasure
Craving for everything I see
Pride in achievements and possession
